Moving existing tooling to Symmco
Quicker production, and the tooling stays yours
If you already own tooling for a part, Symmco can run it as transfer tooling rather than building a new set, which is the quicker route into production. Where the rings do not match a Symmco press, the conversion shown above adapts them to a less expensive ring size instead of starting over. Ownership does not change hands in the move: the customer who purchased the original set of tools keeps it. There is room for the work
Symmco has more than enough open capacity for new product opportunities, and on bushings in particular the position is plain: bushings are always being manufactured, and Symmco will not turn down orders because of capacity constraints. The equipment behind that is 39 presses across the Pennsylvania and Tennessee plants, from 5-ton to 750-ton, which is what the wide range of press types and tonnage in the list above means in practice.
