Symmco manufactures 13 stock sizes of SAE 863 sintered iron-copper solid bars at its Pennsylvania and Tennessee plants, from 3/8 to 2-7/8 inch outside diameter. Every size in the table below is a stock catalogue part with full dimensions and a 2D drawing.

SAE 863 material properties: what these solid bars are made of
SAE 863 sintered iron-copper is the material Symmco uses for higher-load applications: its maximum static load of 20,000 psi is well above the 8,000 psi of SAE 841 bronze, at the same 500 surface feet per minute maximum surface speed, while its PV value is 35,000 against 50,000 for the bronze. Symmco follows all MPIF standards.
